What the addendum changes

The memo describes it as “Wage Rates & Temporary Trucking Shut Down.” It adds two special notices to the proposal package:

  • Special Notice #1 (SN-1): the Town states it was informed by the New York State Department of Labor, Bureau of Public Work & Prevailing Wage Enforcement, that the trucking portion of this project is not subject to prevailing wage rates. All other work performed under the project is required to pay prevailing wage rates. Bidders are told to reflect this in their bid.
  • Special Notice #2 (SN-2): the Town states it will undertake a separate project to remove excavated material forming a berm adjacent to the Clay Bird Lane access driveway. Because that material contains C&D debris with higher concentrations of lead, the Town is requiring trucking operations for this organic material contract to be shut down for a two-week period while the berm material is removed. The notice describes this as being done “under an abundance of caution” to avoid impacting the mulch and to reduce truck traffic on the driveway. Bidders are told to reflect the shutdown requirement in their bid.

The memo states that an extension will not be granted and the proposal submission due date remains as set by Addendum No. 1.
